A Place Called Home was born in the wake of the 1992 Los Angeles Riots. Its founder, Debrah Constance, wanted to create a safe place for gang-affected youth to go after school, do their homework, and be with caring adults. For APCH's first meeting, twelve children met together in the basement of a local church. Today, the organization serves more than 1,000 homeless, low-income, probation, and gang-affiliated youth each year in South Central LA. These images were taken over two days during the Momenta Workshop: Project Los Angeles 2018.
